PREPARING FOR YOUR aEEG
aEEG DO'S
- Take a shower or bath before the EEG Technician arrives at your home.
- Shampoo your hair, but DO NOT use a conditioner - squeaky clean and dry hair, please.
- Wear either a button-down, zippered or wide-neck shirt during testing - this helps with reducing the risk of damaging the EEG wires.
- During testing, sponge baths are approved for freshening up.
- Take any/all routine medications as normal during the course of the study.
- Choose a room that you are willing to stay in a majority of the time for your study.
- Stay in front of the camera as long as possible during the study
aEEG DONT'S
- NO hair products (spray, mousse, gel, conditioner, etc) are to be used during the study.
- NO gum chewing during the study, as it interferes with EEG data capture.
- NO physical activity that causes sweating, as it will loosen the EEG wires.
- Do NOT place any electrical devices (headphones, electric blankets, etc.) on the EEG wires.
- Do NOT scratch your head (instead, trying tapping on the itchy spot).
- Do NOT stay out of the camera for long periods of time - maximizing the camera recording footage is important (restroom breaks are fine).
