Why should an aEEG test matter to me?

An aEEG has the ability to forecast or find  abnormalities and symptoms that can be identified by brain activity. We  believe that the AEEG test is an important part of a patient’s wellness  plan that fit our medically necessary criteria.

For what symptoms might an aEEG be prescribed ?

Seizure, tremors, weakness, loss of balance, difficulty swallowing, numbness, visual disturbances, concussion/ head injury, disorientation, dementia, memory loss/ amnesia, fainting or collapsing, sleep disorders, convulsions, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or post traumatic stres seizures, apnea, traumatic brain injury, dizziness/ vertigo, epilepsy.

Is an aEEG test covered by my insurance?

The aEEG test is covered by most insurances, including  Aetna,  Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare, most Medicaid plans and United  Healthcare. Prior to testing, Texas Neuro Testing will perform an eligibility check with your insurance, and alert you should your  specific plan not cover the test.

Where will my evaluation take place?

Your first appointment will be a video evaluation with a doctor so there is no need to leave your home. And since our Medical Technicians are located all across the state, our services are available to anyone in Texas including Dallas, Ft. Worth, (entire DFW metroplex) Waco, Houston and the metropolitan area, Austin and surrounding areas, San Antonio, El Paso, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Arlington, Brownsville, Round Rock and all other Texas cities and towns.

Where is the aEEG test performed?

The AEEG test is performed at your home. There is no need to go to your physician’s office.  A Medical Technician will come to your home at the scheduled time.

Will the Med Tech coming to my home be certified?

While a certification is not required, most Medical Technicians have some variation of a medical degree or certification. All Medical Technicians have been background checked prior to employment.  Also, the Medical Technicians will have NeuLine Health branded name badges, and will properly identify  themselves upon arrival for your appointment.

How should I prepare for the aEEG test?

Are there any side effects from an aEEG?

Possible head itching and slight discomfort of the electrodes on your head, as well as possible skin irritation are the primary side-effects that you may experience during aEEG testing.
